November update

The nights are drawing in and British Summer Time is no more (for this year at least) but the search for jobs never stops. At SOLIDstaff, we have had yet another agency joining us, Perfect Recruitment, and we are rapidly becoming a one-stop-shop for recruitment in the hospitality area.
Looking through our database of jobs, there are a couple of positions in the North of England which may be of interest. A country house in Workington is looking for a general manager with a salary of £30-35k (ID 963), while a chef de partie is needed in a large hotel in Harrogate (ID 1046). Just register (if not already) and login, click on the Advanced search and enter the ID number. Then apply and good luck!
If you are needing a little help in filling in your details, we are adding more video tutorials to the site (click on the YouTube button). At the moment, there are a few videos for employees.

Christmas is looming

SOLIDstaff has been quiet on the social front for the last month but now we are here, beginning a regular update of the employment market.

We have had some new agencies which have joined our list of employers such First Contact Chefs, and there is also a chance that Whitbread will be coming on board before the end of the year.

On the specific job front, there is a restaurant in Salcombe looking for a chef de partie who personally phoned SOLIDstaff asking for help. A lovely part of the country to work.

As we all know from the high street shops, Christmas is looming over the horizon which means an opportunity to get some temporary work if you are a student or unemployed. And remember that these temporary jobs can lead to long-term employment as companies will often look to those who have already worked for them when looking to take more on. (It doesn’t do your CV any harm either – remember to add it to your Job History.)
